VISION

Sharing in the overall vision of Eastview Community Church, "leading people to Christ and on to maturity in Him", the Sr. High Ministry unites the unique interests of this age group with their desire to experience Jesus Christ. We desire to train our students to be ministers, influencing and impacting their friends, families and schools for Jesus Christ.

Encouraging students to step out of their comfort zone, the Sr. High Ministry teaches students "The 5 Gs", Eastview's method of helping people of all ages establish a relationship with Christ, experience Christ, learn how to serve, and grow in their spiritual journey with Christ.

Establish, Experience, Equip

This ministry is a blast! It's all about real life, real experiences, and realizing your gifts. Small group meetings, retreats, service projects, nights of worship and teaching, and social events enable you to develop relationships with other students and leaders and to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

Backdraft:

Friday evenings 7-10pm

Two Fridays of each month is Backdraft, a Christ-centred worship service just for Sr. High students that incorporates teaching, music, drama, and community in ways that make sense to you.

Small Group, Large Group, Community & Special Events:

Friday evenings 7-10pm

Building on Backdraft is a Small Group time for discussion and prayer. This is your opportunity to talk to leaders and friends about the hot topics raised in Backdraft, get your questions answered, and demystify the Bible and Christianity. Your Small Group leaders will make themselves totally available to you.

You're invited to join in the fun at Community Events, which can be anything from games nights at Eastview to offsite activities that allow you to hang out with your friends and leaders in the Sr. High Ministry.

Various special events are held throughout the year, including weekend retreats, service projects, lock ins, Christmas parties, canoe trips and cool conferences just for Sr. High students.
