When the Eastview Link launched in early 2004, the early signs that print media was losing ground were already present. The Internet had survived the dot-com bust and was coming into its own, and it became clear that the printed word would soon have to make peace with (and room for) it's electronically pixellated brethren. The advantages were clear: words on a screen are cheaper and have minimal environmental impact.
Fast-forward six years, and the Eastview Link has established itself as Eastview‘s newsmagazine, a bimonthly publication highlighting the many great things God is doing within and through Eastview’s ministry. And although competition is minimal, circulation is steady and the audience is captive, innovation continues.
To that end, we are launching the E-Link, an electronic version of the Eastview Link featuring all of the same great reporting and photography you might find in these pages, available through the click of a button (or tap of a finger on your iPad; buttons are sooo 2006).
And while you may be aware that all issues of the Eastview Link are already archived as PDF files on Eastview.org/links, the new E-Link will be much more, optimized to land lightly in your email inbox while giving you quick access to the full scoop of what’s all going on in our church community. To subscribe, simply fill out the form below at hit "Submit"!
But if you prefer the tactile sensation of a paper Eastview Link in your church mailbox, don’t worry. We’ll keep innovating, but the Eastview Link‘s dead-tree edition isn’t going anywhere soon.
