Worship

It’s great to have you join us at Eastview and check out our Worship Ministry section.

If you were to ask what Worship Ministry is really all about at Eastview, our first thoughts would not be about the music, the style, the lights, the drama, etc.

But rather, it would come down to the following three scriptures:

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Matthew 22:37

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

John 4:23-24

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8

These three really put our Worship to the test.  How do we come before God?  What does God want from us?  Is Worship about me, or Him?

We encourage you to think about these things, and dive in to what God has for you.  If you have some wisdom to share, insights or things God has taught you, or questions – we’d love to hear it!

As far as Sundays go – we are a congregation of mixed generations, enjoying a blended style of music in our Worship time.  We lean pretty heavy into modern contemporary with a healthy respect for our past and our heritage.

Our Design Team works hard at incorporating a wide variety of ways for people to engage in Worship and are always seeking to find the way that will help you connect.  Singing?  Drama? Dance? Nature? Silence?  and the list goes on.

Get Connected!

We have a lot to offer, and as well, I’m sure you have a lot to offer us.

Do you like technical things?  Are you a musician or vocalist?  Are you the dramatic type?  Do you enjoy the music and community that a choir can bring?

Please don’t hesitate to give us a shout:  steve@eastview.org  or choir@eastview.org and pass along your request, ideas or thoughts on the matter.
