Bible Reading

Keeping a C2C Journal can help you with LIFE:
Listen:

"I will teach you and instruct you in the way that you should go..." (Psalm 32:8)

God is speaking and He wants to walk daily with you! A Life Journal will help you to capture the lessons. He teaches in a way that will help you grow!

Inquire:

"You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart" (Jer. 29:13)

God wants us to seek Him with all our hearts, and when we do, He meets us right where we're at. A journal will encourage and remind you daily that He waits for you.

Faith:

"Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" (I Tim. 4:7)

Our faith will grow as we get to know Him more. A journal will help add the substance of faith to your life.

Experience:

"If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them" (John 13:17)

God is speaking and He wants to walk daily with you! A Life Journal will help you to capture the lessons. He teaches in a way that will help you grow!

BIBLE READING PLAN STEPS:
  1. Find the Bible reading corresponding to today's date from the Bible reading program. Turn to the chapter in your Bible, asking the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Mark off each daily reading as you complete it to keep yourself accountable.
  2. Read the passages. As you are reading underline anything the Lord impresses on you as a personal word to be applied. When you read with an open heart, the Lord will give you words of encouragement, direction and correction (2 Tim. 3:16) Look for:
    • Lessons to be learned
    • Examples to be followed
    • Promises to be enjoyed
    • Jesus to be revealed.
  3. When God has revealed a special lesson of life to you, turn to a fresh page in your Journal to record what God has just shown you
    • Enter the date
    • Record a topic that describes the lesson
    • Record the main Scripture
    • Record an Observation from the passage
    • Give an Application as to how you will be different today because of what you just read
    • Record a Prayer of commitment
REMEMBER!!!

A Journal is designed to serve you in your growth with Christ. You can be flexible in how you use it, but be sure to develop a healthy habit of spending time daily with the Lord.

Some have asked, "When is the best time for my devotions? In the morning or the evening?"

The answer to that is, "The best time is when you are at your best!" If you're a morning person, spend time with Him in the morning. If you're an evening person, do it at night. The bottom line is: "Jesus deserves your best, so give Him the best part of your day!"
