Nursery
Kids Cove Nursery demonstrates God's love to families by offering a safe, healthy and friendly environment while providing loving care for babies and toddlers. Parents can attend the worship service with the assurance that their child is well taken care of.
Nursery rooms are open 15 minutes before the 9:30 & 11:15 am services.
Newcomers can register their child for Room 1 and Room 2 at the Kids Cove Information Desk on Sunday mornings.
Room 1: Ages 4 -18 months - staffed by volunteers. This room provides a fun place for babies to play with toys and others their age. There are cribs for naptime if needed.
Room 2: Ages 18 -36 months - staffed by volunteers. This room provides a more structured environment for the older toddler. The children enjoy a Bible Story, coloring, music, and a snack, along with lots of toy time. From a very young age, we teach babies and toddlers about God by repetition of key words such as "God loves you", and by a relationship with them built on care, love, and a familiarity of consistent workers.
Infant Room: Nursing Mothers and Infants. Designed for mothers who are nursing or wanting a quiet place to care for their babies while still enjoying the service, the glass in the room allows a view of the sanctuary, yet is tinted to provide complete privacy. Adjacent is a washroom with a change table.
Family Room: Families with their preschool children. This room comes complete with a TV monitor and toys so parents can watch the service, while their child quietly plays with the toys provided.
Parents must have Family Tags for drop off and pick up.
Parents sign in their children to Room 1 or 2 using the Sign In sheets on the table outside the rooms Parents drop off their children in Room 1 or 2 where they are greeted by caregivers (label all belongings) Parents pick up their child from their room at the close of each service
In the spirit of ensuring a safe environment for children; all Kids Cove volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a Godly manner, and set an example for the children. Safety protocol and features Eastview has in place for Kids Cove include:
- Stringent volunteer application process with high worker to child ratios
- Clean, well-lit, highly visible rooms with quick access to emergency exits and first aid supplies
- Sanitary guidelines followed to prevent the spread of illness
- Accident and allergy guidelines familiar to Kids Cove volunteers
- Behavioural guidelines that assure children are cooperating in a respectful environment
- Preschool Sign-In protocol that includes a Family Registration Number to identify parents at the time of drop-off and pick-up and used to contact parents during the service if needed
- Kids Cove Information Desk staffed on Sundays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
