A Message from Council

Summer is just about over and the September kick-off has marked another exciting year of opportunity to serve God at Eastview by bringing people to Christ and onto maturity. The number of Council members was increased at the last AGM and this has been quite helpful as all of Council has taken on a more active role in supporting staff and certain committees. Your Council has been busy this summer with a number of meetings and have had some key positions filled. Here are some of the results of people responding to God's calling and stepping forward to take on the following:

  • Erika Fenske - Church treasurer
  • Maria Wilms - Ladies Ministry rep
  • Greg Payne - Men's Ministry rep
  • Steve Dick - Moderator
  • Robert Penner - Assistant Moderator
  • Cory Normand - Administrative Manager

There still are a number of volunteer positions to fill, please search your heart and see how God can use and bless you at Eastview.

Council is currently putting together a team of people who will work under the umbrella of Worship Task Force. The plan is to have this group functioning by October 1st. This Task Force would then be active till a Worship Director is hired. More information about this Task Force can be picked up at the info booth.

Council has voted on and accepted the budget and is make preparations to present to the membership at the ABM (Annual Business Meeting) for their vote. Budget Information will be available in your mailbox two weeks prior to the September 30 meeting.

Council has also worked out an Organizational Structure, and will be presenting that at the ABM and will also come before the congregation with recommendations.

Your attendance at the ABM is strongly encouraged.
