Advent Conspiracy

Dave Ens - 2009-12-06

This Advent/Christmas season we are taking part in a conspiracy! We are challenging each other to reclaim what this season is all about. We will do this by:

Worshipping Fully (because the season is about God coming to save)

Resisting Distraction (by spending less on things we don’t need and giving to those who do need)

Giving More (of ourselves to each other and to God)

Loving All (the poor, the forgotten, the marginalized in a way that makes a difference)

On Christmas eve, during the services (3:30, 5:00, 6:30) we will be taking an offering. That offering will go directly to Forward House – a local Christian organization that provides a home for men recovering from addictions, serving prison terms, or on parole. The money raised will go towards the food costs at Forward House. As a church, the challenge is to raise $24,000.

God came to give life at Christmas and to help us get back on our feet, back on the path that leads to him. We want to reclaim that meaning and be part of helping others experience the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ.

You are invited to join us through this season on Sunday mornings and on Christmas Eve and be part of the conpiracy; help those who need it this season!
