Cory Normand was hired this summer to serve as Eastview's Administrative Manager, a new staff position at the church. As many in the church might not know Cory, she was an ideal candidate for our regular Personal Link column.
In the busyness of the Fall Kickoff, the interview was conducted via e-mail. Here's what Cory had to say.
Wayne and Cory have been married since 1986 and have 2 sons Andrew (15) and Joshua (13).
I have been attending Eastview since 1997 and became a member in 2005.
Eastview is the first and only church I have attended. Through the worship, sermons, small groups, adult Sunday school classes and community with members I was introduced to my saviour, Jesus Christ. Thank you for this.
Prayer! I've worked in the not for profit sector for over 25 years steering an agency with a mission to assist young people to define and achieve their employment goals. As an adult coming to Christ I know the blessing of receiving salvation. It is not only my job, but my honor to work for a church with a mission to bring the message to the lost.
My duties are focused on the administrative business of operating a church on a day to day basis. My skill strengths in organization, developing administrative mechanisms to sustain operations, leadership and discernment will be utilized and challenged in my new role at Eastview.
Prayer by Philip Yancey and WOW Worship.
