NEW – Code Red response @ Eastview

How do the COVID-19 Prevention Orders affect the ministries at Eastview

Effective Monday November 2, the Province of Manitoba issued a Restricted Code Red for the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Sunday morning:    Despite the fact that the Code Red regulations permit churches to gather at a reduced capacity, we have decided that in order to do our part to curb the spread of COVID, we will NOT have in-person church services until it is safe to do so. In the interim, we will continue to Live Stream our services at 10:15 each Sunday.

Other gatherings:   For the safety of our community, groups that meet in the church must limit their gathering size to 5 people and masks must be worn. If the group meets in a home, 5 guests may gather in addition to the residents of the home. Although masks are not required while meeting in a home, mask use is strongly recommended in all indoor spaces if physical distancing cannot be maintained. If your group is larger than 5, we recommend you meet digitally and stay connected with each other.

As a church family, it is important to us that we continue to gather as Christ followers to build one another up in Christ and spur one another on in mission. In these COVID times, we have had to be creative in how we gather (online and in person) and will continue to be committed to living out our life as the Body of Christ – together. Through this time, we have been paying attention to our witness in the community. If Eastview were to become a place where a COVID outbreak were to happen, that would significantly decrease our gospel witness to our neighbours, coworkers, friends, and family. We desire to move cautiously, respecting the heart behind the government restrictions in order to continue to advance our witness to “Jesus as Lord” during this time.
